Supported and guided by Sir Yehudi Menuhin at a young age, Kirill Troussov is meanwhile widely recognised as one of the leading violinists of his generation. He works with renowned orchestras and is a regular guest at prestigious festivals and in famous concert halls worldwide. The international press writes about his playing: impressive elegance, irreproachable technique, an exceptional musical sensibility and sonorities of an immaculate beauty.

His acclaimed performances have taken him to Tonhalle Zürich, Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Palais des Beaux Arts Brüssel, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, De Doelen, NCPA in Beijing, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid, Verbier Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival and Menuhin Festival Gstaad, among others.

Both his passion for chamber music and friendships connect him to artists like Sol Gabetta, Yuja Wang, Julian Rachlin, Daniel Hope, Joshua Bell, Gautier und Renaud Capucon, Natalia Gutman, Christian Zacharias, Yuri Bashmet, Elisabeth Leonskaja and Mischa Maisky.

His numerous international awards include the European Culture Award, the international Yamaha Prize, the Davidoff-Prize of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Reuters-Prize of the Verbier Festival.

Kirill Troussov's CD recordings — among others by EMI-Claasics, Warner Classics, Naxos, Farao Classics and MDG — were repeatedly awarded and highly praised by the international press — among others by Süddeutsche Zeitung and the french music magazine Diapason.

Kirill Troussov regularly gives master-classes at the Mozarteum Salzburg, European Music Institute Vienna, in Cremona, Milan, Madrid, Dublin, Berlin, Munich, Oslo, Budapest, USA, China and Hong Kong. He is frequently invited as jury member to international violin competitions, such as the Schoenfeld International String Competition in China and the Ysaÿe International Music Competition in Belgium.

Since 2021, Kirill Troussov is chairman and artistic director of the Hong Kong International Young Musicians Competition. Since 2023, hie is also artistic director of the Carl Flesch Academy in Baden-Baden.

Kirill Troussov plays the Antonio Stradivari violin “Brodsky” of 1702, which was played by the violinist Adolph Brodsky to perform the world premiere of Tchaikovsky's violin concerto on December 4, 1881.

Peter Wittenberg

Peter Wittenberg comes from a family of Latvian musicians and received his first piano lessons at an early age. At the age of 16, he won the Bronislaw Kaper Prize of the Los Angeles Philharmonic with the Second Piano Concerto by Sergei Prokofiev. Since then, Peter Wittenberg has been a worldwide guest on renowned concert stages, such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, New York's Carnegie Weill Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Athenaeum Bucharest, Salzburg Mozarteum or Baden-Baden Philharmonic.

Peter Wittenberg is particularly dedicated to string chamber music and performs regularly with violinistn such as Wonhee Bae, Esmé Quartet, Ziyu He or the Altenberg Trio. He also performs with partners such as cellists Clemens Hagen, Raphaël Pidoux, Danjulo Ishizaka, Christian Poltera, Louise Hopkins, Julius Berger and Xenia Jankovic, violinistn Gottfried von der Goltz, Levon Chilingirian and Eszter Haffner, and violist Thomas Riebl.

He has been piano accompanist to soprano Ruby Hughes, mezzo-soprano Kelly O'Connor and baritone Anton Belov.

Peter Wittenberg completed his piano studies in the USA. At Indiana University he studied with the Russian pianist Lev Vlassenko, and at New York's Juilliard School of Music with Jerome Lowenthal and Vitaly Margulis. He attended master classes with Maurizio Pollini, Dmitri Bashkirov, Fou T'song and Lev Naumov, among others. He also studied orchestral conducting at the St. Petersburg Conservatory with conductors Alexander Polischuk and Ilya Musin.

Peter Wittenberg participated in chamber music master classes with Christoph Poppen, Gerhard Schulz, Heinrich Schiff, András Keller and Paul Roczek. He also received important impulses from collaborations with Clemens Hagen, Rainer Schmidt and members of the Hagen Quartet.

He is regularly engaged as a piano accompanist at well-known competitions such as the Salzburg International Mozart Competition.
