Saule Tatubaeva was born in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. She received her education at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. The pianist and doctor of musicology accepted a teaching position for piano in 1995 and additionally for chamber music in 1997 at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, where she has held a professorship since 2003.
Concerts and master classes have taken the pianist and chamber musician throughout Russia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Yemen, India, Japan and the USA. She is committed not only to her own students, who always pass their exams with distinction, but also to the university far beyond her obligations.
In 2009 she took over the artistic direction of the "European Chamber Music Competition Karlsruhe" for the third time. In addition, she founded the "Förderverein für Kunst, Medien und Wissenschaft e.V." (Association for the Promotion of Art, Media and Science), which supports students, enables them to participate in international competitions and regularly organizes concerts in Karlsruhe and Ludwigsburg in cooperation with investors.
As a special support measure for students of the Karlsruhe University of Music, Saule Tatubaeva established the series "Young Talents - Science and Music" in 2002 together with the Karlsruhe Research Center, for which she successfully organizes concerts (16 per year) at the KIT (South Campus and North Campus) on a voluntary basis as artistic director.
